Hey there! The purpose of this page will be to demonstrate some of the tools and techniques used to build a very barebones html website. As per the instructions of the lab, I am supposed to introduce myself and give some random facts that I deem interesting to mention. However, I've decided that was way too boring and unimportant.
Since I have the creative liberty to write about anything I please, I've chosen to write about my lovely cat, Salem!
Salem is a totally black, and rather chunky cat. She's 7 years old, and her birthday falls on the 1st of June.
Upon mere moments of meeting somebody new, Salem is not afraid to immediately harrass them for affection by ramming her head directly into their shins until she is eventually pet.
If somebody ever makes the mistake of sitting down around her, their lap is instantly forfeited as a laying area for her to roll around on and beg for more stomach scratches.
Besides her unsatiable desire for attention, Salem is very keenly aware of the time. More particularly, when it is exactly 5pm, as that is when she recieves her daily wet cat food. If for any reason you need to be somewhere sometime after 5pm, you can rest assured that she will let you know of the time with a cacophony of meows and constant headbutts. You will then, of course, only be free to go once you've fed her.
Despite her cuddly and adorable looks, Salem is a natural born killer. Even in her old(ish) age, having been an outdoor cat for the majority of her life, she is still able to compete with the poor small creatures that dare get in her line of sight. Her targets include, but are not limited to:
and many more. She will proudly leave them at the doorstep, ignore any sort admonishment, and guarantee that there will be more.

If Salem were to ever use the internet, she would most likely spend all her time showing off her looks on this Subreddit. She would easily dominate any other cute animals posted that day - as none can compete with her indisputable beauty.
One of Salem's favourite sleeping spots around the house is my very own computer chair. Whenever I come back home, she can be found using it before I inevitably pick her up and plop her down somewhere else so that the chair's owner can use it. This however, does absolutely nothing against her determination to use it, as she will gladly sit right back ontop of whoever robbed her of her sleeping spot.
As the chair is also at the exact height of my bed located behind my desk, she is almost always at eye level when I wake up - which makes for much more pleasant mornings!
So if you need any takeaways from this small Salem biography, it would be that she certainly loves her R&R!
