My life in a nutshell

A quick "About Me"

A selfie of the author

My name is Sylvie Blouin. I was born and raise here in the Eastern Township. I grew up in a very big family. I have two brothers (much older than me) and three sisters. One of my sister is actually my twin syster. My twin and I were adopted at the age of six by our foster-care home. We joined their family which already consisted of a girl and two boys and they were all young adult by that time.

My other sister is another foster-care sibling that my adoptive parent decided to also adopt. Although we are not related by blood, this is the sibling that I get along the most. She has grown to be a wonderful young woman and is now a mother of two (soon to be three). My twin sister is also very dear to me, but we have absolutely nothing in common. We are both on the two extreme of a spectrum, both physically and mentally.

And even though I did not technically leave with the older siblings for very long, my home was always filled with children and/or teenager. My parent, being foster parents, always took care of three to four more children, which you may have observed that I call my foster siblings.

To the right we can see some of my favorite items. It is not much for now, but the list will get updated as soon as I can think of more items to add.
