A few things about me...

Picture of me

Professional interests aside, I am a huge fan of baseball, live music and craft beer (in no particular order). If you'd like to debate whether the reduced season counts as a real play-off run for the Toronto Blue Jays or if anyone has any stories about local golf legend Arnold Baker, please write me! (Yankees & Red Sox fans need not apply)

Some highlights from 2020...

Back in January, I went on a horseback riding retreat in Calabasas. My host insisted it was too cold to sleep in a tent, because we know how cold those Southern California winters can get! Spoiler: It was 70 degrees and sunny for the entire trip. The desert landscape was beautiful, and I got to see how quickly the new growth developed from the Malibu wildfires in 2018, although it seems California is perpetually on fire these days.

Fast forward to July, my boyfriend decided it was time he became a cowboy too. I support this wholeheartedly. Yes, my eyes are closed in this picture.

Places I've Travelled...

Check out some pictures on this page!

Location Year(s) About the Trip
Chicago, IL 2012 This was my first time travelling alone! I went to a music festival with my best friends that I had met online. There was only a brief moment of hesitation where I thought I might've been catfished, but it all worked out in the end.
Boston, MA 2012, 2015-2020 This is where my online friends were based! After moving to Sherbrooke, I would zip across the border almost every weekend. I still make sure to visit at least twice a year.
Victoria, BC 2013-2015 I moved to Victoria to start University. If I could, I would move back here in a heartbeat!
Sherbrooke, QC 2015-2018 I transferred to Bishop's to get to know my family a little better! I'm finally starting to feel like a Lennoxville local.
Okayama, Japan 2017 I went on exchange here thanks to Prof. Hizawa and the JASSO scholarship program. I attended a 3-week seminar program on Globalization and Environmental Resource Management, but my favourite experience was going to a half-day noodle making class.
Las Vegas, NV 2017 A classic "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" experience. I just love the desert heat.
Atlanta, GA 2017 More internet friends! The humid weather of the south is not as forgiving, but the sweet tea certainly helped.
Los Angeles, CA 2018, 2020 I can't seem to stay away from Southern California, or the Pacific coast in general. Nothing beats a West coast sunset.

Been to any of these places? Have any fun stories to tell? Let me know!
